OUT LIKE A LIGHT!

It's almost time to go home today! This was a bit of an unusual session for me, because I fell asleep hard for the first four hours and didn't wake up until a few moments ago!

So much for accomplishing anything in this chair today.

Thank you for the lovely comments about Stewey. I had to chuckle, though, since that was one of his "chunky" pictures, and he was always mortified whenever I shared it. I love it, personally. He looks healthy and young and happy to be supervising his daisy.

Not much stitching to report from last night. I ended up futzing about in the cube room studio, and got distracted by the idea of canvaswork again. I don't know when the last time was that I did something on canvas...probably as long ago as the Wendy Moore class in Guild, so methinks I need to fix that!

I am hankering for a new Laura J. Perin, and she has a new design with sunflowers that has really struck my fancy. Hmmmmmm. I might have to go browsing about later today and see if I can get myself into some trouble!

Hot and steamy in these here parts, which means I am surly and feeling like I'm breathing through a wet towel. The few days of cool Fall-like weather really spoiled us for what is to come!

Last bit of news is on the kidney front. My sister will be unable to donate one of her kidneys to me, so transplant is not imminent. I continue to remain on the list for a cadaver kidney, and can expect a wait of five to seven years for one to come along. I confess that I have accepted this with much better grace than I would have expected from myself, but there have definitely been some moments.

I will, though, continue to work on building my IU fund, and am doing every single thing my team is telling me to do, including losing more weight. Only a hundred pounds to go and I will finally be the petite blonde triathlete I know is in there somewhere.

(She grins maniacally.)

Time to go for now. I will soon be unplugged and taped up and ready to go, and then it's home for dinner, TeeVee viewing, and stitching!

Here's hoping that your Monday was swell! Come tell me all about it!
